The Bihar chief minister had alleged in the Assembly that the Speaker was running the House in an “unconstitutional manner”.
Janata Dal (United) went into a damage control mode after a war of words was witnessed between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha on Monday where the chief minister alleged that the Speaker was running the House in an “unconstitutional manner”.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Tuesday said that there was no contradiction between the CM and the Speaker. He said both were of the view that the House should be run according to rules.
Interestingly, both Nitish Kumar and Vijay Kumar Sinha were absent from the House on Tuesday.

The minister informed the house that Nitish did not make any derogatory remarks. "There is no difference of opinion between the CM and the Speaker. The allegation that Nitish Kumar was disrespectful towards the Speaker is completely baseless. The CM only requested the Speaker with folded hands that the House should be run according to constitutional norms," said Vijay Chaudhary.
Meanwhile, the RJD raised the issue and said that "Nitish’s remarks were undemocratic and hurt the sentiments of all the legislators in the House."
RJD demanded that “Nitish Kumar should seek an apology from the entire House for venting out his anger against the Speaker.”
