Nine deaths on April 21 as 217 travellers test Covid-19 positive in Qatar

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported 819 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 757 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 176,188.

Out of 819 new cases, 602 are community cases and 217 from travellers returning from abroad. The ministry also announced nine deaths of people 42, 46, 49, 52, 61, 66, 72, 74 and 89 years of age, taking the total death toll as of today to 400. Six of them had chronic diseases and all of them received necessary medical care, MoPH said.
