Nigerian man living in Delhi tests positive for monkeypox, third case in capital

Another Nigerian man living in Delhi has tested positive for monkeypox, taking the total number of cases in the national capital to three.
Another Nigerian man living in Delhi tested positive for monkeypox on Tuesday, official sources told India Today.This is the third case of monkeypox reported in the national capital and ninth in the country.
On Monday, a 35-year-old Nigerian man, living in Delhi and having no recent history of foreign travel, has tested positive for monkeypox. The patient was admitted to Delhi government-run LNJP Hospital, the nodal hospital for treatment of the infection.
Earlier in the day, another monkeypox case was confirmed in Kerala as a UAE returnee tested positive.
"Another monkeypox case was reported in the state. A 30-year-old is undergoing treatment in Malappuram. He had reached Kozhikode airport on 27 July from UAE," Kerala Health Minister Veena George told news agency ANI.
Health Minister Mansukh Madaviya said a national task force has been set up to monitor the development of diagnostics and vaccines.
