NIFT Hyderabad celebrates 40th anniversary with AI-driven fashion forecasting platform VisionNxt, revolutionizing India's fashion industry.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) celebrated its 40th Foundation Day on Wednesday, with an event showcasing VisionNxt, a fashion forecasting platform driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emotional Intelligence (EI).
Developed under the Ministry of Textiles, VisionNxt offers research and trend insights tailored to the diverse needs of India’s fashion and retail sectors. Highlighting its significance, Malini Divakala, Director of NIFT Hyderabad, stated that VisionNxt aims to reduce reliance on international agencies by capitalising on India’s strengths in information technology and textiles.

“Earth Day celebrations have already started in Bengaluru, with campaigns at various colleges such as St. Josephs, and Christ University where life-size elephants made from the invasive species, Lantana Camera, have been travelling to spread the message of conservation and coexistence, along with expert talks from WWF India and Ravi Chellam of Metastring Foundation,” said the release.
