Raids on PFI are being carried out in eight different states. Several PFI members have also been detained.
Earlier on Thursday (September 22), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out searches at multiple locations against PFI at 93 locations in 15 states including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, West Bengal, Bihar and Manipur.

Over 100 PFI members and people connected with them have been arrested by the ED, NIA and state police in different cases.
The searches were conducted at the houses and offices of top PFI leaders and members in connection with five cases registered by the NIA following continued inputs and evidence that they were involved in funding of terrorism and terrorist activities, organising camps to provide arms training and radicalising people to join banned organisations.
