The special National Investigating Agency(NIA) court in Mumbai has reserved its order on the bail plea of Elgar Parishad accused Father Stan Swamy till March 22. The arguments on the bail plea were done earlier but the NIA filed an application saying that they wanted to submit some additional documents in support of their opposition to Swamy's bail. Judge D E Kothalikar of the special NIA court allowed the prosecution to file additional documents. This additional document was an internal report made by one of its officials from Ranchi which was part of the investigating officer's case diary. The agency claimed that the probe in the case is still going on and this additional document was submitted now as it has emerged only now during their investigation. Swamy's lawyer Sharif Shaikh opposed the additional documents being presented in the court now. Shaikh argued, "The stage of the case diary is over. The court looks through the case diary only for the purpose of finding out if the investigation is going in. After the chargesheet is filed the case diary cannot be considered."More Related News
