The NHRC has asks Maharashtra government to ensure proper medical treatment to Father Stan Swamy, the 84-year-old Jesuit priest and activist arrested for his alleged involvement in the Elgar Parishad case.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Sunday issued a notice to the chief secretary of Maharashtra government and directed officials to ensure that every possible efforts are made to provide proper medical care and treatment to Elgar Parishad accused Father Stan Swamy. NHRC added that proper medical care was a part of life-saving measure and protection of Swamy’s basic human rights.More Related News
