NFL teams weighing Mike Tomlin pursuit as Steelers limp into playoffs
NY Post
Rumors surrounding Mike Tomlin’s future with the Steelers have picked up once again.
After uncertainty last year over whether the longtime coach would return to Pittsburgh, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on “Sunday NFL Countdown” that some NFL teams are wondering whether they should ask the Steelers if they would move on from Tomlin.
Schefter added he doesn’t think the Steelers will move on from Tomlin, who won a Super Bowl in his second year at the helm.
Tomlin is in his 18th season as the Steelers head coach and has never had a losing record.
But given how the Steelers are limping into the playoffs coming off of four straight losses, teams appear to be curious about the 52-year-old’s potential availability.
Speculation ran rampant after the team’s wild-card loss to the Bills last year about whether Tomlin’s time with the Steelers was up as he had just one year remaining on his contract.

The Knicks won’t be raising a banner to the rafters at Madison Square Garden to commemorate their victory in the 2025 NBA Cup, and you can count your humble narrator among the faction that wishes they’d chosen differently. I’m not quite sure when it became mandatory to rinse as much fun out of sports as possible, but we’re sure trying.
