New Zealand call up Matt Henry as replacement for Covid-positive Finn Allen on Bangladesh tour

Matt Henry was initially selected solely for the Pakistan leg of the winter programme but will now depart New Zealand on Monday August 30 to link up with the Blackcaps in Dhaka.

New Zealand Cricket on Friday announced Matt Henry as the replacement for Finn Allen, who is recovering from Covid-19 in Bangladesh, in their T20 squad for the upcoming series. Allen is currently in quarantine recovering from the virus in Bangladesh's capital city. Finn Allen, who is fully vaccinated, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday after arriving from England. Allen will remain with the team and continue to be monitored by BLACKCAPS doctor Pat McHugh.
