New iPhone 14 Pro renders hint at dual punch-hole design and gold colour

The notch-less display in the renders does make the iPhone 14 Pro different, but the dual punch-hole design on the upcoming iPhone does not look odd at all.
Apple iPhone 14 series is expected to arrive later this year, but the rumours around it began pouring in last year. Several rumours have hinted that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will ditch the notch in favour of a punch-hole design. Now, there are different reports even regarding the notch. Some reports point to a single punch-hole on the iPhone 14 Pro display, while some others have said there will be a combination of two different punch-hole designs. A new render of the iPhone 14 Pro shows what that design would look like.
Folks at Pigtou have shared concept renders of the iPhone 14 Pro, in which the alleged dual punch-hole design is the highlight. The notch-less display in the renders does make the iPhone 14 Pro different, but the punch-hole design does not look odd at all. The combination includes a pill-shaped cutout on the left and a hole-shaped cutout on the right. The renders do not tell us as to what these two different designs could be for, but if we go by previous reports, the pill-shaped one would house all the Face ID-related sensors, while the hole-shaped cutout will bear the TrueDepth camera inside.
The iPhone 14 Pro in the new renders is gold in colour. The name of this variant is not mentioned, but Apple has a long history of launching gold-coloured iPhones with unique names. The gold shade shown in the renders seems different from the gold colour of the iPhone 13 Pro.
There is an Apple logo on the back of the iPhone 14 Pro, as well as three cameras aligned in the same style as the iPhone 13 Pro cameras. The edges of the iPhone 14 Pro are flat, exactly like those on the latest iPhone 13 Pro models. The bezels on all sides of the iPhone 14 Pro look thinner, too. The power button is on the right side, the volume rocker and alert slider on the left - as usual. The iPhone 14 Pro’s bottom edge has the Lightning port, a microphone, and a speaker grille.
Specifications-wise, the iPhone 14 Pro is likely to come with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display and an A16 Bionic chipset. It may come with 8GB of RAM and a 48-megapixel camera on the rear system. The iPhone 14 Pro may feature the rumoured satellite features, which would allow the device to make emergency calls and SMS without a cellular connection but with the help of low-orbit earth satellites.
The iPhone 14 series is expected to come with four models, but this time the “mini” model may be replaced by a new “Max” model. Experts believe that Apple will launch an iPhone 14 Max instead of an iPhone 14 mini, so the entire lineup would look something like this: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will share the screen size, but the Pro model will have better features. An analyst previously said that the punch-hole design would be limited to the Pro models only. This means the non-Pro models, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, would end up using the notch design.
All of these are rumours, which means they may or may not turn out to be true. What Apple has planned for this year’s iPhones will be revealed only at the launch, which is expected to take place sometime in September.
