NDA won no-trust meet against Visakhapatnam Mayor by influencing and threatening YSRCP corporators, allege the party leaders

YSRCP alleges NDA leaders influenced corporators to win no-confidence motion against Mayor, resorting to conspiracies and threats.
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) North Andhra regional coordinator Kurasala Kannababu alleged that by influencing and threatening the YSRCP corporators, the NDA leaders have won the no-confidence motion against Mayor G. Hari Venkata Kumari at the GVMC office here on Saturday. He alleged that for the past one month, the alliance leaders have been involved in conspiracies and backdoor tactics to take the post of Mayor from the YSRCP.
Addressing a press conference at the YSRCP office here on Saturday, Mr. Kannababu said that the NDA tactics during the no-confidence motion meeting reminds one of Mr. Chandrababu Naidu’s infamous Viceroy Hotel episode in the year 1995. When it comes to politics, leaders like Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy believe in values and trust, but leaders like Mr. Chandrababu Naidu think power is all that matters and forget principles. He alleged that when YSRCP government offered the Mayor post to a BC woman from the Yadava community, the NDA government has resorted to conspiracies to remove her.
He also said that many YSRCP corporators stood firm with the party, despite facing immense pressure, threats and even attacks from the NDA leaders.
Former Minister and YSRCP Visakhapatnam district president Gudivada Amarnath alleged that the NDA leaders have bought nearly 27 corporators with money.
He said that to protect the YSRCP corporators from such pressure and threats, the YSRCP has set up safe camps in other States, but alliance leaders reached there and threatened them. He alleged that some TDP leaders have gained entry into hotel in Munnar where the YSRCP corporators were staying and even plotted to kidnap a Dalit woman corporator.
“The TDP leaders used a helicopter belonging to Anakapalli MP C.M. Ramesh to transport her from Munnar to Kochi and then fly her out on a special flight,” he alleged.
He said that the YSRCP high command will take strict action against the corporators who have violated the party whip.
