NCW has made separate cells for Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh to tackle women issues like violence, poverty et cetera.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has made separate cells for Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh to tackle women issues. Women can now approach the NCW cell in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh with their complaints. Since the bifurcation of J&K in 2019, state commissions were discontinued. After NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma visited the Union territories, it was noticed that extra attention needs to be given to the issues of women like violence, financial crisis et cetera, in the region.More Related News
