The NCB Mumbai seized 925 grams of drugs in Andheri East and arrested one person.
The Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized 925 grams of drugs and arrested one person in two operations launched in Andheri East. The drugs were being exported to New Zealand and Australia.
Acting on information from sources, a team of NCB Mumbai seized 490 grams of methamphetamine at Andheri East on June 10. The drugs were concealed inside a voltmeter. The parcel was headed to New Zealand and was booked in Mumbai.
Further, one more parcel was identified based on technical intelligence analysis. The drugs concealed in a parcel of industrial nuts and bolts were headed to Australia but were intercepted by the NCB on June 11. The parcel contained 435 grams of amphetamine.
During the preliminary investigation, one person from Navi Mumbai was apprehended on June 12 in connection with the case. He accepted that he was the consignor of both the parcels.
Further investigation is underway in the case.
