Four suspects have been apprehended along with explosives. The police revealed the names of the four suspects as Raju Gopal Salla, Kashinath aka, Ravi Mulla Gawade, Sadhu Lachha Talandi, Mohammad Kasim Shadullah.
An anti-naxal operation was executed by a police team during which a gang of four naxal supporters transporting explosives in large quantities was intercepted at Bhangarampetha village.
In total, 10 bundles of cordtex wire measuring 3,500 meters along with four suspects were recovered. The gang was transporting these explosives from Telangana to Chhattisgarh.
Four suspects have been apprehended along with explosives. The police revealed the names of the four suspects as Raju Gopal Salla, Kashinath aka, Ravi Mulla Gawade, Sadhu Lachha Talandi, Mohammad Kasim Shadullah.
One suspect named Chotu, aka, Sinnu Mulla Gawade, was successful in absconding from the spot.
Further investigation is still going on.
In the Gadchiroli district, Naxals use a variety of counterfeit weapons and explosives to carry out acts of violence.
The cordtex wire seized from Naxal supporters is widely used to make Naxal-made barrel grenade launchers, hand grenades and IEDs. The explosives were to be used extensively by the Naxalites during the coming TCOC period.
