On her father Nikhil Nanda's side, she is related to Kapoor Khandan, as her grandmother, Ritu Nanda, is the sister of Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Rajeev Kapoor and the daughter of Raj Kapoor. Navya also has a brother, Agastya Nanda.
