India Today
Union minister Narayan Rane has been arrested after his statement against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Here's a look at the procedure for arresting a Union minister.
Union minister Narayan Rane was arrested on Tuesday over his statement that he would have given Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray a “tight slap” for apparently missing the count of years of India’s Independence. The arrest was, according to reports, made on an order issued by the Nashik Superintendent of Police following an FIR (first information report) filed against Narayan Rane. His arrest soon broke into a controversy with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hitting out at the Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government.More Related News
