Nagaland civilian killings: Konyak civil society groups extend 10-day ultimatum to govt

The Konyak Civil Society Organisations also demanded that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the Army’s Court of Inquiry Certified report must be shared with the Konyak Union for perusal.
Amid a delay in the release of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on the killings in the Oting village of Mon district, Nagaland, the Konyak Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) said that its non-cooperation against the Army will continue until justice is delivered. The tribal body also extended its ultimatum, served on the government demanding justice, by 10 days with effect from January 15.
As many as 14 civilians were killed in firing incidents by security forces in Nagaland’s Mon district on December 4 and 5 last year.
