According to the parents of the 14-year-old, she had gone to attend the birthday party of a local TMC leader's son. There she was allegedly gang raped.
The India Today team travelled the road from the victim's house to Brojo Goali's place in the next village.
There are two roads leading to the place of crime. One of the roads is nearest to the market place of the village and is at a distance of four kilometers. The second road, which is the shortest, is three kilometers.
According to the victim's father, she left home at 4pm but it is not clear which road she took to reach the crime spot.
According to the case diary, she was allegedly gang-raped at the TMC leader's son's house. The TMC leader's house is made of tin. The prime accused told the investigators in which room the alleged gang-rape took place. The investigative agency collected the samples.
The victim took the second road while returning, which is the shortest route to her village.
