The Muzaffarnagar riots case against Bharatiya Janata Party's Sangeet Som and others was withdrawn on Tuesday. The case of inciting violence against 12 BJP leaders, including BJP MLA Sangeet Som, in 2013 in UP's Muzaffarnagar was withdrawn days after a local court accepted the state government's proposal. Significantly, the BJP leaders who were named as accused in the infamous Muzaffarnagar riots case are Uttar Pradesh minister Suresh Rana, BJP MLA Sangeet Som, former BJP MP Bhartendu Singh, and VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi. Accepting the state government's request, an MP/MLA court in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar on Friday (March 25) allowed the withdrawal of the case of inciting violence in connection with the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots.More Related News
