
Muslim students must not participate in Surya Namaskar: Islamic body on UGC directive

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has protested against the UGC's directive to involve students across the country in a Surya Namaskar programme to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence.
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has opposed the government’s directive to have students practise Surya Namaskar in schools.
“Muslim students should not participate in such programmes,” the Muslim law board said.
