Musk says Tesla won’t accept Bitcoin, citing climate concerns

Citing concerns over Bitcoin mining’s carbon footprint, Elon Musk tweeted on Wednesday that Telsa is suspending vehicle purchases with the cryptocurrency.

Tesla has suspended vehicle purchases using Bitcoin citing concerns over the cryptocurrency’s impact on the climate, the company’s CEO Elon Musk announced on Twitter on Wednesday. “We are concerned about rapidly increasing use of fossil fuels for Bitcoin mining and transactions, especially coal, which has the worst emissions of any fuel,” Musk wrote.
