Murugan rewarded with Union cabinet berth for delivering 4 BJP seats in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu state BJP president Murugan has been appointed as a Cabinet minister, which is being seen as a reward for his efforts in the recent election where BJP won 4 seats.

Tamil Nadu state BJP president L Murugan on Wednesday was appointed the Minister of State (MoS) for Information and Broadcasting, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy. The major elevation is being seen as a reward for Murugan’s efforts in making BJP gain a foothold in the recent Tamil Nadu election. Murugan became a popular figure in Tamil Nadu politics in March 2020 after being appointed as the state BJP president, a seat that fell vacant after Tamilisai Soundarajan was made the Governor of Telangana.
