Lock Upp saw 16 contestants swim through hurdles, twists and turns until it came down to the final 6. While social media had the guessing game going since long, we finally have the winner of the first season of Lock Upp. And it is, Munawar Faruqui! Munawar braved storms and overcame battles on the show with his simplicity and charm.
Lock Upp, which streamed on ALT Balaji and MX Player has finally come to an end after 70 episodes. And we have a winner - Munawar Faruqui! Known faces from the world of television and social media featured on the show, which premiered in February. The last battle was between six finalists - Munawar Faruqui, Prince Narula, Azma Fallah, Shivam Sharma, Anjali Arora and Payal Rohatgi. And Munawar Faruqui went on to bag the winner’s trophy. Payal Rohatgi was the first runner-up. Along with the trophy, Munawar took home prize money of Rs 25 lakh and a car.
Munawar was one of the most entertaining contestants in Lock Upp. Fans loved him for his game strategies and honesty. Apart from this, his camaraderie with Anjali Arora would also be much talked about.
Lock Upp was a reality show where contestants performed exciting tasks, engaged in dramatic fights, and divulged their darkest secrets. The show had a jail set up and inmates had to cross hurdles to survive. Ekta Kapoor launched the show in Mumbai on February 3. The show live-streamed 24x7 on MX Player and ALTBalaji.
