Mumbai vaccination fraud: No permission was taken from BMC, jabs procured from unauthorised source, say police

The Mumbai Police has said organisers of the vaccination drive at the Hiranandani Heritage Society had not taken permission from the BMC. A senior cop also added that vaccine shots were not sourced from an authorised location.
The Mumbai Police on Friday arrested four people for allegedly cheating residents of a housing society in suburban Kandivali after they expressed apprehensions that the vaccine that was administered was spurious. Police said they have found that vaccine doses administered to residents of the Hiranandani Heritage Society were not purchased from an authorised source. Speaking to the media on Friday, Dilip Sawant, Additional Police Commissioner (North) confirmed that organisers of the vaccination drive did not take the required permissions from the BMC for a camp in Mumbai society on May 30.More Related News
