Mumbai to experience warmer days and nights as temperature rises

Mumbai to see gradual rise in temperatures as wind pattern shifts, with minimum expected to reach 18-19°C.
Mumbai is set to witness a gradual increase in both day and night temperatures due to a shift in the wind pattern, which is predominantly northerly. The city recently experienced a brief dip in temperatures, but conditions are expected to warm up in the coming days.
“Today, the minimum temperature was around 17 degrees Celsius, but it will gradually rise over the next 48 hours due to this change in wind pattern,” Sunil Kamble, Director of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Maharashtra, told The Hindu. He explained that the recent cooler temperatures were a result of a western disturbance — an extratropical storm that brings rainfall and snowfall to the hills of northern India.
According to Mr. Kamble, the minimum temperature in Mumbai is expected to rise to 19 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will likely climb to 32 degrees Celsius within the next two days.
“The city will not experience the cool spells seen over the past few days,” he added, signalling the end of the recent dip in temperatures.
