Amid a shortage of Covid-19 vaccines in Maharashtra, students in Mumbai expressed resentment on the delayed inoculation drive and prolonged time gap between the first and second Covishield vaccine doses. The Maharashtra government has put on hold vaccination for the 18-44 age group citing a shortage of vaccine doses. This week, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has started walk-in vaccination for students heading to foreign universities for three days. “I am a student and my focus is on my studies. Likewise the BMC should have its focus on providing timely vaccines to the students who urgently need it. But here I just see chaos. There is no management here. Despite standing here for hours, there is no guarantee if I will even get the vaccine or not,” Ayesha Zia told India Today TV.More Related News
