Mumbai reports 299 new Covid-19 cases, one death in last 24 hours

Mumbai on Friday reported 299 new Covid-19 cases and one death. Meanwhile, the active caseload in the city stood at 1,871.
As many as 299 fresh Covid-19 infections and one death was reported in Mumbai on Friday, taking the total tally to 11,22,408 and the toll to 16,637. Notably, it was the seventh consecutive day when the daily tally of cases was recorded below 300.
On the recovery front, 364 patients were discharged, taking the total recovery count to 11,00,900. The overall recovery rate was 98 per cent. Meanwhile, the active caseload in the city stood at 1,871.

While 10,814 sample tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, the overall growth rate of cases between July 15 and 21 was 0.025 per cent.
Maharashtra reported 2,515 fresh Covid-19 cases and 6 deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 2,449 patients recovered, leaving the active caseload at 14,579 in the state.
