Mumbai court imposes fine on mother of sexually assaulted child for giving NOC for bail of accused

A special court in Mumbai has imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on a woman, who had registered a case of sexual assault on her 12-year-old son, but later gave a no objection certificate (NOC) for the three accused to be granted bail. The case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
