Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, against whom an FIR has been registered by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) probing the Mansukh Hiren case, has filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Thane sessions court. Sachin Vaze was not present in court but his lawyers argued that the statement of Mansukh's wife accusing the officer is merely based on suspicion and that there is no prima facie evidence against him. Vaze's advocate also told the court that he has not played any role in Mansukh's death and that ATS is unnecessarily harassing him. Feeling that there is an apprehension of arrest after the registration of an FIR, Vaze's lawyers moved an application for interim protection from arrest.More Related News
