In a brave act, a constable identified as Ishwar Yadav, helped a family get back their bag containing jewellery worth Rs 17 lakh that they had forgotten on the Chennai Express.
The swift action of quick-thinking police constable Ishwar Yadav helped a family from Annampali get back their jewellery bag worth Rs 17 lakh that they had forgotten on the Chennai Express. The joy of 55-year-old Nagmma Shivlingi Appa Annapalli, a resident of Andheri, knew no bounds after getting back the jewellery.
The entire family heaved a sigh of relief when Jadhav managed to trace the bag of jewellery within four hours by tracking down the train to a yard.

The Annampallis had gone to their native place in Telangana to attend a religious ceremony almost a week ago. While returning home, they boarded the Chennai Express and on Friday morning, they got down at Dadar railway station and took a local train to Andheri, the TOI report said.
When Nagamma reached her home, she realised that she had forgotten her bag on the train. The bag contained 5 gold necklaces, 3 bracelets, 8 gold chains, 18 gold earrings of different types, 1 gold bracelet with the total value of jewellery at Rs. 16,85 lakhs, the Free Press Journal said in a report.
