The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has served the Rana couple with a notice to inspect their Khar flat.
In the midst of a growing schism between Rana couple and Shiv Sena, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a notice to inspect Rana's Khar flat. The notice calls for an inspection of the said flat on May 4.
Sources close to MP Navneet Rana and MLA Ravi Rana termed this action "revenge politics."
Sources added that they are being served with a notice by the BMC because of Rana's decision to offer Hanuman Chalisa.
The Rana couple have been in jail for the last 810 days.

Lok Sabha MP Navneet Rana and her husband, independent MLA Ravi Rana, had threatened to chant Hanuman Chalisa outside Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence, Matoshree. However, they called off the protest due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Mumbai.
Despite this, Shiv Sena workers laid siege to the building in suburban Khar where the couple was staying and said the Ranas would not be allowed to leave until they apologised for insulting Matoshree, their "temple".
