Dense wet cable ecosystem offering best global latencies.
Mumbai accounts for the highest number of cable landings in the country, followed by Chennai, which is emerging as an alternative hub for data centre operations in APAC due to strong presence of banking, finance services and manufacturing corporations in the city, the report noted.
India’s financial capital has been the front runner due to its central location with availability of reliable power, cable landing stations and BFSI companies.
The southern city, on the other hand, offers low set-up cost and skilled IT & non-IT talent for the DC construction, the report said.
The capital of Tamil Nadu is connected to APAC regions, and can also provide intra-land connectivity to other landlocked cities at low latencies.
