Another day, and another social media miracle! Remember the ever-smiling Mumbai autowala Desraj Jodsingh Biyadu? The hardworking man used to put in extra hours from 6am in the morning to midnight just to give his grandchildren a proper education. After his story was shared on social media by Humans of Bombay, netizens started pouring in massive support for Desraj. So much so, that a sum of Rs 24 lakh was raised to help Desraj meet his needs.
Now, the page Humans of Bombay has shared another video showing a happy development in Desraj’s life. The autorickshaw driver, who once used to sleep in his auto due to the lack of a roof over his head, now had his own home!
“On 11 February, 2021, we shared Desraj Ji's story with you - a rickshawala who was living in his rickshaw while trying to save every penny to educate his granddaughter. And within no time, thousands of you came forward and raised a total of 24 lacs for him! All because of your love and support, Desraj Ji now has a roof over his head and is being able to educate his granddaughter,” read the caption.
