Mumbai: Actress and friend held for possession of 1 gm of hashish, later released on bail

An actress and her friend were taken into police custody after one gram of hashish was found in their hotel room. They were released on bail on Monday.

The Santacruz police in Mumbai arrested an actress and her friend early on Monday morning after one gram of hashish was found in their hotel room. They were granted bail the same day. According to police officials, the accused has acted in television series and some Bollywood films. She and her friend checked into a Juhu-based five-star hotel on Sunday night to celebrate her birthday. The duo allegedly consumed hashish rolled in cigarettes later that night in their hotel room.
