India Today
BJP MLAs led by Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari staged a walkout against the appointment of TMC's Mukul Roy, who is still officially a BJP MLA from Krishnanagar Uttar, as PAC chairperson.
Mukul Roy, who recently switched from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) camp in Bengal, was appointed as the chairperson of the important Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the Assembly by Speaker Biman Banerjee. Roy, who won the Bengal assembly election on a BJP ticket, joined the TMC last month. He is officially a BJP MLA from Krishnanagar Uttar and has not resigned as an MLA, despite being asked to do so several times by the saffron party.More Related News
