Msheireb Museums recently organised the first preliminary session for the creative community in Qatar to develop the framework for a coming artistic workshop to be conducted at Bin Jelmood House.
Msheireb Museums, the cultural and touristic destination at Msheireb Downtown Doha, recently organised the first preliminary session for the creative community in Qatar to develop the framework for a coming artistic workshop to be conducted at Bin Jelmood House.
The meeting was in line with the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking and Msheireb Museums to organise educational sessions and strengthen collaborative efforts to increase awareness on the global issue of modern-day slavery and human trafficking.
The meeting was held at Bin Jelmood House in Msheireb Museums in collaboration with Al Hosh Gallery and attended by creative community members who will take part in the art workshop to create artworks on slavery and human trafficking. The art pieces and installations will be displayed at a dedicated exhibition at Bin Jelmood House in December to mark the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.
Mohammed Ali al-Mal, Assistant of the Assistant Secretary at The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking said: “This meeting reflects the combined effort of various national entities supported by the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking to shed light on the concern of human trafficking and to combat it. We will continue to work with partners to launch more artistic initiatives to achieve our common goals.”
