The Bombay High Court has sought the Maharashtra government's response on a plea by an activist seeking transfer of the investigation into the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) scam, allegedly involving Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, to the CBI. The probe was conducted by the state police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW). The EOW, in its closure report, said its probe did not reveal any irregularities in loan transactions.
