MP: Woman kills ex-boyfriend for marrying another, arrested along with sister

Jabalpur police on Saturday arrested a woman and her sister in connection with the death of a young man named Sonu Patel. According to preliminary investigation, the accused was the deceased’s girlfriend and angered that he had married someone else, she and her sister decided to murder him. Rural ASP Shivesh Singh Baghel told India Today that the case came to light when a human skeleton was found in the forests of Hargarh. The findings of the post-mortem and the FSL report indicated that the person had been murdered. Further investigations revealed that a young man named Sonu Patel went missing four days after his marriage. The missing man’s family members were called to identify the corpse, which they confirmed to be Sonu. The police then interrogated the family members; Sonu's bride told them that before their marriage, her husband had had a love affair with a girl named Madhu. But Madhu was angry with Sonu's marriage and even told Sonu's wife about their relationship. The wife of the deceased told the police during interrogation that she had received a call from his ex-girlfriend Madhu on the day her husband disappeared.
