MP V. Vaithilingam chairs meet of airport consultation committee

Member of Parliament V. Vaithilingam has chaired a meeting of Puducherry Airport Consultation Committee. Mr. Vaithilingam The Member listened to the views of members and also suggested shifting of the airport to Sedarapet. He also stressed the need to start more services from the airport, including one to Shirdi. Member of the Legislative Assembly P.M.L Kalyanasundharam, Superintendent of Police Bakthavalsalam and Director of Puducherry Airport Vijaya Upadhyay also participated.

One dies, eight hospitalised after inhaling HCL fumes at pharma company in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalli district. About 400 litres of HCL leaked from the reactor-cum-receiver tank at Unit-III of the company, which affected nine workers, says Collector.
