The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to set up 10 new medical colleges based on a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
With an aim to ensure an adequate number of doctors, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to set up 10 new medical colleges based on a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The colleges will be set up in five districts, including Bhopal.
Giving information about this, MP medical education minister Vishwas Sarang said that in the first phase, medical colleges will be opened in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Katni, Balaghat and Indore under the PPP model.
"Its feasibility survey is being done. The private partner will build the building of the medical college in association with the district hospital. At the same time, the government and private partners will jointly run the medical college," Sarang said.
The minister further said that Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries will get free treatment in these hospitals.
