In a bizarre turn of events, a man died of severe burn injuries in Madhya Pradesh’s Anuppur after he attempted self-immolation allegedly due to harassment by police and a shopkeeper who had registered a complaint against him. The incident took place in Amarkantak town of Anuppur district last week (July 22) when an argument broke out between the shopkeeper and the victim who was accompanied by two friends over the rise in the price of samosas.
