MP man declared dead by BJP after police encounter found alive
India Today
BJP leaders declared that the man from Madhya Pradesh, who had killed three cops and some animals, died in a subsequent encounter, but the man has been found alive.
A 22-year-old man whose photographs were circulated by BJP leaders in Madhya Pradesh as that of an accused killed in an encounter with the police and having connections with Congress leaders Digvijay Singh and Jaivardhan Singh has turned out to be alive.
Identifying himself as Chotu Pathan, the man has released a video message and accused cabinet minister Mahinder Singh Sisodia, and BJP spokespersons Dr Hitesh Vajpayee and Pankaj Chaturvedi, of spreading rumours about his association with poachers, who killed three policemen in the Guna district and his subsequent encounter killing.
“The people who are accused of killing the policemen should be punished. I have no objection to that but I am neither fond of hunting nor do I have a gun. I want to appeal to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi that these rumours against me should be stopped and I should get justice.” Chotu Pathan said.
BJP media department head Lokendra Parashar had tweeted pictures of Pathan with former chief minister Digvijay Singh and former minister Jaivardhan Singh while tagging both Congress leaders and asked a question ‘ye rishta kya kehlkata hai? (how do you define this relationship?)
The same pictures were posted by BJP spokesman Pankaj Chaturvedi with a text “shikarion ke chachajaan aur sath mein JV Bhaijaan”
Pankaj Chaturvedi, while defending his tweet, said he did not accuse anyone and alleged that Digvijay Singh and Jaivardhan Singh were patronising hunters.
Jaivardhan Singh, while replying to Chaturevedi, said he was trying to make a hunter out of a boy and posed a question as to why so much desperation after a picture of Scindia’s man and minister in government Mahinder Singh Sisodia surfaced?
