MP: Geologists to probe explosions reported in Kshipra river, locals in panic

Explosions have been reported in Ujjain's Kshipra river in Madhya Pradesh leaving locals in panic. Experts from Geological Survey of India (GSI) will probe the matter.
Turbulence and explosions on Ujjain's Kshipra river near Triveni ghat have created panic among locals. Ujjain district collector on Sunday informed the Geological Survey of India (GSI) about the incidents. The blasts are being reported for the past couple of days, during which embers and smoke can be seen billowing from the river. The first such explosion was reported on February 26. Since then, the explosions have been happening at regular intervals. Locals who take baths in the river on auspicious days are in a panic. A Water Resources Department official has been posted at the spot. District Collector Ashish Singh has also visited the area of the river where the blasts are taking place.More Related News
