MP cattle death: Digvijaya Singh alleges graft by BJP, govt orders probe
India Today
A day after a large number of cows were found dead in MP's Berasia town, the state government has ordered a probe into the matter. Meanwhile, former CM Digvijaya Singh alleged that the shelter home was being given crores of rupees in donations.
The Madhya Pradesh government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the deaths of cows in Berasia, about 40 km from Bhopal, after several carcasses were found floating in a pond near a cow shelter. The video of the carcasses has since gone viral on social media.
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, while raising the issue, alleged that the cows were being killed for leather and that the shelter home was being given crores of rupees in donations. Digvijay Singh also alleged that the cow shelter is being run by the BJP and the VHP.
“Shivraj Singh Chauhan, alias Mamu, has given crores of Rupees as donations to the cow shelter that was being run by the BJP and VHP. Hundreds of cows have been killed at the shelter.”

“Had this been done by someone who was not associated with the BJP or by a non-Hindu, National Security Act would have been slapped and their properties would have been demolished. But Mrs Shandilya is from the BJP and the VHP. Hence, attempts are being made to save her,” Digvijaya Singh said in a series of tweets.
