MP Cabinet approves resumption of Rs 1,000 montly pension to Bhopal gas tragedy widows

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved resumption of the monthly subsistence pension of Rs 1,000 to over 5,000 widows of the Bhopal gas tragedy victims. The pension was abruptly stopped during the previous Congress government in the state.
The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday approved the resumption of the monthly subsistence pension of Rs 1,000 to over 5,000 women who were widowed in the aftermath of the Bhopal gas tragedy. In December 2019, the Kamal Nath-led Congress government abruptly stopped the subsistence pension given to these widows that was started in 2010 after recommendations from a ministerial committee of the Union government.More Related News
