MP: 14 cops suspended over security lapse involving BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia

A total of 14 police officers have been suspended over a security lapse involving BJP MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is a 'Z' category protectee.

A security lapse involving BJP MP Jyotiraditya Scindia has led to the suspension of 14 police officers in Madhya Pradesh. The incident in question took place on Sunday when the Rajya Sabha MP was returning to Gwalior from New Delhi. According to reports, a pilot police vehicle was supposed to escort Jyotiraditya Scindia's convoy all the way from the Morena border to the Gwalior border. However, the police escort mistook another vehicle for the one ferrying Jyotiraditya Scindia to Gwalior. The police escort followed the other car for nearly 10 kilometres before realising that the car was not part of Scindia's convoy.
