Mozambique national held for smuggling 70 cocaine capsules worth Rs 10 crore in stomach at Mumbai ​airport

A Mozambique national was arrested at Mumbai airport on August 8 for smuggling 1.02 kg of cocaine in 70 capsules, worth Rs 10 crore, in his stomach.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a Mozambique national with 1.02 kg of cocaine concealed in his stomach in the form of 70 capsules from Mumbai International Airport. Acting on a tip-off about a drug 'mule' (someone who carries contraband) smuggling high-value cocaine, an NCB team apprehended Fumo Emanuel Zedequias at the airport at 2 am on August 8, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede said.
