Move to another state if you don’t like education system in Gujarat: State minister Jitu Vaghani
India Today
Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani, on Wednesday, said that those people who do not like the education system of Gujarat should move to another state.
People study here, do business here and now if they like education somewhere else, then they should go there, Gujarat minister Jitu Vaghani said on Wednesday. The minister further said that if the education in Gujarat has failed, then why are you here? The education minister was seen targeting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as well.
For the last few days, there has been a war of words between the Gujarat government and the Aam Aadmi Party. It all started when the BJP Gujarat Twitter handle raised questions over the education system of Arvind Kejriwal and the Delhi government. The tweets said that the education system in Delhi has failed and Kejriwal's education model has failed. To which the Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said that they are welcoming the Gujarat government officials, Gujarat government Ministers and mainly Education Minister Jitu Vaghani to Delhi to inspect any government school in Delhi. The AAP, time and again, has raised questions over the education system of Gujarat.

Today, Jitu Vaghani said, "If you like the education system of America, go there. Many went. You were born here, studied here, spent your life here, did business here. In fact, your children studied here, now if, like education of some other place, go to that state or country. In front of journalists here, I want to request them that they can go to whichever place they feel is good."
The Gujarat BJP, however, became defensive, saying that Jitu Vaghani's statement was being misinterpreted.
Meanwhile, AAP got aggressive at the statement. AAP leader Isudan Gadhvi said, "The statement made by Vaghani is very sad, we condemn it. This is an insult to poor middle-class students and parents. They don't want to improve the education system. This is why Narendra Modi selected such people in Gujarat's government? Jitu Vaghani should apologise immediately to students and parents."
