Motorist killed in accident at Suchitra X road
A 25-year-old motorist was killed in an accident at Suchitra X Road in Medchal on Tuesday afternoon. The victim, Tapan Kumar Behra, a native of Odisha, was working as a technical operator at CMC Limited.
According to Petbasheerabad police, Behra was riding his two-wheeler from his residence in Balanagar and going towards Suchitra Junction around 2 p.m. when an unidentified car hit him from the side.
The impact caused him to crash into a roadside barricade. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately.
Police have registered a case and are working to trace the suspect using CCTV footage.

A day after the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs filed its final complaint against T. Veena, daughter of Kerala Chief Minister and Communist Party of India (Marxist) Polit Bureau member Pinarayi Vijayan, in the Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd (CMRL) pay-off case, the CPI(M) rallied behind Mr. Vijayan in solidarity. But there appeared to be serious differences of opinion in the top leadership of the party on the way to approach the case.
