It seems that Motorola has plans to launch new phones every month. The company has already taken wraps off a bunch of phones at different price points and it has now announced a new Moto G62 5G smartphone. The key selling point of the device is a 5,000mAh battery, 120Hz display, IP52 rating, a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup, and more.
Motorola is offering only two variants of the new 5G smartphone. The Moto G62 5G comes with a starting price of Rs 17,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 19,999. The device is already up for sale on Flipkart, so interested customers can buy it. As for the launch offers, there is Rs 1,500 discount offer on HDFC bank credit card. Those who have cards of Citi bank and Bank of Baroda will get 10 percent off on the purchase of the Moto G62 5G.
As for the specifications, the Moto G62 5G features a 6.55-inch IPS LCD display that operates at Full HD+ resolution. The screen also has support for 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also IP52 rated, which means that the device has protection against dust and water. Do keep in mind that this doesn’t mean that the Moto G62 is waterproof. It can survive water splashes.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is a mid-range chip. The Moto G62 ships with Android 12 OS out of the box. The handset ships with ThinkShield security for protection from threats to the device. The company is promising to deliver one major Android OS and three years of security updates. This basically means that the Moto G62 will only get Android 13.
There are three cameras at the back of the phone and the setup consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It is backed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera that also acts as a depth sensor. There is also a macro sensor for close-up shots. However, you don’t get good-quality photos with 2-megapixel sensors. On the front is a 16-megapixel sensor for capturing selfies.
Under the hood, there is a 5,000mAh battery. The new smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Motorola has provided support for microSD card too, so one will be able to expand the internal storage. The device has dual speakers to offer you stereo sound.
